CAPD Research Mentoring Certificate Program
The Research Mentoring Certificate (RMC) wrapped up its 6th season in June. This professional development certificate program, which runs twice per year and is led by Assistant Director of Graduate Student Professional Development Elsie Otero, provides an opportunity for PhDs and postdocs to build their mentoring skills and reflect on their mentoring practice. This season, four facilitators (Elsie Otero, Alexis Boyer, Ann Skoczenski, and Diana Chien) worked with 59 participants. This application-based program continues to see strong interest from PhDs and postdocs. CAPD and its collaborators are proud that over 365 members of our community have now received mentor training. Applications for the next round of the RMC open in October, and the program will run next during IAP 2027. More information about the RMC and other certificate programs is available on the Professional Development Certificates page of the CAPD website.
